Relationships... what a sordid and costly affair.

Wow, I really enjoyed reading your entry, its both beautiful and profound. Relationships are so costly in a sense that we invest so much of ourselves into them - whether it's a family tie or any other types of voluntary relationships. And what a great observation; when there is that someone special, songs, movies,places and anything else that evokes our senses - they have the capacity to stir the emotions when we feel them because of the memory connected to them.

Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it and got that it wasn't necessarily about romantic relationships. For me, all meaningful relationships are equally moving and devastating and memories can be very powerful indeed.

It's strange how literature evokes different thoughts, memories and emotions to different people. Thanks for your reply to my comment, I learned that it's quite amazing how writing can be so parallel to painting or other mediums of art - we create with intention, but yet others who come across our work can take something completely different from our initial intent...
