It is, isn't it?. My mom has printed copies of this picture in color and in grays scale in her nightstand. I also have one in my wallet.

On the top left is the eldest Lina, she's physically 25 y.o. but as a special girl she's the baby, which means I'm the big sister. That's why she has that metal collar in the picture, it's a corset to help her with her scoliosis. She's 6 months-old mentally.

Four years later I [Ana María = Ann(a) Mary] was born, I'm 21 and the jam of this sandwich, also a fourth year student of Biomedical Engineering.

Four years later María Camila (translated is like Mary Camille) who is the cheese and is 17 y.o. She's below Lina and a first year student of Medicine.

Maria del Mar (Mary of the Seas, kinda. In English sounds really funny but in Spanish is a common name) was born two years after MC... we tell her she broke the pattern so it means she was an accident, she's below me and what you would call senior in high school.

Lina's middle name is Marcela... That's another difference among us... As you can see the three of us has 'María' in our names. My mom, to save time calls us 'Marías', the first to answer when she calls, is the one that helps her....
Also she (my mom) uses like a tone in her voice that only moms can achieve to call María and for us to understand which one she needs.... That's something that baffles me....

Aw that's really nice!
I love hearing people's names in Spanish. If I could I would give my children Spanish names.. but they'd probably come out being pronounced all weird in English. =(

Thanks for posting this! :)
