Marian Anderson? Shirley Chisholm? Whoopi Goldberg? Oprah? Tell me why I feel a need to pick a black woman for this. Sometimes I want to kick myself for the political correctness of it all.
All right, you want to know who my role model is?
Batman.
'Cause he's out there fighting the good fight without any fancy superpowers. He just does what needs doing.
Of course, the Wayne fortune doesn't hurt any. Wish I had that kind of money.
Wish the NYPD had that kind of budget.
Batman would be doing it if he lived in the projects, though, don't you think?
What would constitute a perfect evening for you?
I know it's too much to ask, but I would one day like to see a murder-free weekend. Not for the whole city; just my little precinct. You wouldn't think that would be too much to ask, would you?
If you could invent a holiday...
Stress Reduction Day. It would probably fall a few days before Christmas, and it would involve nobody saying or doing anything to piss anybody else off, and if you get pissed off, you just suck it up and don't make things worse. What do you think? Sound like a plan?
