On parenting and holidays

It meant a lot to me yesterday when nightskyre said "I don't know if I've ever told you, but I really appreciate how much work you've put in to make sure our kids can celebrate Hanukkah."

Now, to go look up that potato pancake recipe again...

Hannukah is pretty super awesome, from an interfaith kid. Christmas AND Hannukah makes a kid feel doubly special. It's pretty nifty that you guys are giving that to the little Skyres' :-) Rock on, parenting models, rock on.

Hey, Jesus celebrated Hannukah, so why not? :)

We're not doing any presents for Hannukah (my kids get enough Christmas presents to last a year anyway), and we haven't done a dreidel or anything this year, but probably next year.
