So I had another blog running, but it turns out lj works in China, so I'm just gonna post here since all my friends are here. uhhhhh. this means revamping my whole lj though cause everything on this right now is too old to be true, oops.
anyway
I kind of finally feel like a normal human being again, which is nice. It only took sleeping 3 hours one night & 13 hours the next day.
This week featured a lot of food, mostly followed by a lot of stomach aches. not sure I expected the food to be so hard to adjust to, but it is. I'd like a huge huge burger please... (also, salad is like, a sign of being poor here, so they don't eat it. same with potatoes which makes me so sad)
we're not allowed to eat most fruit & uncooked veggies anyway. not allowed to drink tap water or flush tp either.
mastered the chinese squatty potty, took the bus, took the subway, took a taxi & got to use my kinda crappy chinese.
fave event of the week? going to dinner & crashing a dance college class graduation celebration.
they were all drinking & laughing & dancing & crying. the class president came over to apologize for being loud & we bought them some drinks just because. as we left they were all shouting bye in english & we went back to get pictures, they were all excited to get pictures with us individually & as a group. once I get the picture of that, I'll be posting it for sure. they were so funny & interesting, i dunno.
the group in china is great, we all get along & can go out to do stuff together, but also can split up easily & work like that which is nice. makes things really easy, too. we all really want to go to the zoo and see the pandas. and the dolphin show. but apparently the rest of the zoo is kind of crappy.
a lot of the group are kind of into seeing the club scene which is definitely really interesting to see and I had fun, but still not my thing. not saying I won't go back, i want to experience china as much as I can obviously. (this includes trying all the food i possibly can. even if it's weird tendon)
I didn't mean to let this get so long and wordy, but it's CHINA. it's a lot of fun though. I'll come back with pictures and more to say later. I don't want to be too rambly every post, so I just figure that if you have something you want to know, you can ask. that easy.
Though, I don't know how likely it is that I'll be posting pictures actually. the internet here is sometimes kind of normal & sometimes will take forever to load a simple page. I'll try though.
