Earlier this week I went out with Shrek for a drive around the countryside that surrounds us and took the camera. Here are a few of the resulting pics...
NDUF!
I love this shot because I think the lone tree next to the river is pretty representative of how I feel about my life right now. In fact, I think it is probably something that represents everyone at some point.
Scenery often seems to disappear off into nothingness when you look at the hills and mountains around here. Makes you wonder what is on the other side.
In this one, I just love how you see the signpost, granted from the rear, and how the road winds off into the distance. It's pretty much like that in the opposite direction too.
BAHHHHHHHHH!
This is part of the old Roman roads which run through the valleys. There are many sections - a lot of them have been covered with tarmac and made into the modern roads that run through the area. However, there are a few sections like this - often leading off the valleys roads. Nice to see the contrast of old v's new.
A hiker's marker...just something I thought made an interesting pic.
This rock stands in a field in the middle of nowhere on its own. It is of Celtic origin, so I'm told. I see it standing there alone and wonder if it could speak, what stories it could tell of history. Shame some of the local yobs know where it is and have daubed it with graffiti on one side.
Little things please little minds. There are many huge waterfalls in this area as well - off to photograph one when there has been a little more rain.
A means for the hiking population to get over the fences that are supposed to keep the sheep off the road. I just thought it looked pretty cool and would make a good photograph.
Just another pretty scene.
