I think there are plenty of valid reasons for and against Designated Hitters and I like that the National League and American League operate differently.

If the DH was eliminated, theoretically you'd eliminate the need for the National and American leagues, and by virtue of that, Interleague Play.

There is that and you could retain that for historical purposes, but the main reason people like - or indeed loathe - ILP is the rule difference ( ... )
