Dillan, Kim and I stood in the Meijer parking lot on East Washington street and counted airplanes in the sky. There were 10 over our heads that night withing just a half-hour. I could have never imagined in a million years that my life, our world, would change so dramatically in one day. It still boggles my mind to this day.
With that said, here is one of the poems I wrote remembering what happened 7 years ago, tomorrow:
Last Breath Here is the one that I wrote for the 9/11 tribute for school for the year after the attacks:
My Family I Do Love This one I wrote right before our country declared war on Iraq:
Just Grow Up It's amazing how much I changed in just a short amount of time. I can't believe how long we as a country have let this war drag out.
I am saddeded by how the politicians have forgotten who did this and only care about the oil.
So, tomorrow, I will be remembering those who lost their lives. I will also remember those who fought back bravely on September 11, 2001.
With that, please remember one of them with me, Melissa Etheridge's :Tuesday Morning":
