I have panic in needle park from blockbuster right now. It's a new dvd release of Al Pacino's first ever movie shot on location in 1977 NYC. I loved it (as much as you can love a story about devolving in to heroine addiction) and would be happy to drop it off for you to check out.

I'm pretty excited about the new book, myself! Enough that I actually debated whether I should order from Amazone or not, since I won't get it until the 20th in the afternoon sometime, but if I wait in line, I can have my hands on it at midnight.

I can't wait!

The real question is...can you resist reading/peeking at the last chapter before you get there??? Oh, that's a lot of pages to finish before you get to know what happens.

I won't mock. I pre-ordered a book (I've never done that before) and I'm skipping the ice-cream social opening festivities of our yearly homeschool conference in order to go to a couple Harry Potter parties at some nearby book stores. Thank god I've got M.E. to take with me (not that she's ever even asked me to read any of the Harry Potter books to her) so I have an excuse to go.

Have you been to JK Rowlings site and found all the special thingermajingers? It's kind of fun.
