Ah, Tolkien...

Did I mention I've been taking an elective English course on Tolkien this spring? I didn't? Ah, well...

My beloved school chaplain and English teacher is a very big Tolkien fan. He said the Lord's Prayer in Elvish. He also attended the medieval congress out in Kalamazoo, Michigan last week, where he kindly took my copy of The Road to Middle-Earth ( Read more... )

Clearly it's an enemy response to a family trait.
Intense, heroic eyes run in the family, and the only way to counter that is to aim for them.

Or something.

You lucky, lucky person! *growls in envy* I want a class like that.

Well, shooting someone in the eye is a really good way to kill them, especially if they're wearing armor.

Armor. Right. How the heck did I miss that? XD

It's a very fun class... Taunting you? What makes you think I'm taunting you? XD

Granted, it'd probably be more fun if the kids taking it actually cared instead of simply wanting to hurry up and finish their spring English electives so they can graduate, but whatever...

Oh, and is there any chance you have or can get a copy of the Lord's Prayer in Elvish? Because I would love to see that and would be in your debt forever.

Awesome! I want that class!

And being shot in the eye would probably be caused by wearing armour. Unless the warrior is wearing a helmet, the head is probably the best place to aim if you want o do some serious damage.
