Dude "Pardon me, do you mind if I pass you on the right and send you swerving out of my way?"
Me "Yes I mind, but you're going to do it anyway."
Dude "How could you tell?"
Me "You're male and wearing spandex"

I mean, other than the fact that I'm burning more fossil fuels...

Ooh, burn.

I'm a dude who wears spandex on a bike on occasion... but in my defense, I've only passed people on the right when they were all the way over to the left and had no business being there.

I've been getting the impression that there are just so many more cyclists in Portland that there are inevitably plenty more crazy reckless ones too. Crazy reckless pedestrians, even--a few nights ago I had to pass this lady walking in the middle of the street with headphones on. This was on a street with perfect sidewalks on both sides.
