☠ Three Tails ☠ - [Voice]

Nov 13, 2010 15:03

[Amaterasu was really gone. Ninetails heard the insect's song, saw her pathetic portrait - and ripped it from her journal - but didn't truly believe it until she sniffed around herself. It was true. Amaterasu's scent and her divine presence were no where to be seen. She was really, truly, honestly gone. Better still, Moro was no where to be seen as ( Read more... )

You will not harm the forest.

Oho, is that so? Then come find me, whelp, and strike me down if you dare!

[is that a challenge?

The journal is now abandoned and San is coming, ready to fight]

[Oh, she is shaking.

Ninetails' cave was actually in the mountains, but she left it to hunt and perchance do as she said - kill. She didn't think anyone was really stupid enough to come after her, so the fox doesn't keep her guard up as she stalks the forest, tails and sword knocking and cutting down trees in her path.]

[San has been looking for this opportunity, and here it is. She jumps from a low branch on a nearby tree, mask on and spear (topped with one of Moro's teeth) extended]

[Unfortunately, Ninetails doesn't noticed San until she falls right on her back, but once she does, the fox jerks with a loud screech, turns her head furiously to see what just fell on her, and howls with rage when she sees it's some strangely dressed human.

One who reeks of the Forest god.]

[and she will be holding her balance and stabbing with that spear. Girl doesn't hesitate or do the banter thing]

[Another howl, but this time from pain as well as fury. That fang certainly pierces its way through Ninetail's steely hide, but one strike is all San will get before the fox's tails swing wildly to knock her off. It'll be a hell of a miracle if she can stay on with that kind of barrage.]

[She can't stay on, but she takes the fall in stride, even keeping her grip on the spear. The demon fox is far too large to even think of beating...but she's threatening and actually destroying the forest. As the daughter of its protector god, San is obligated to defend it with her life]

[Ninetails, despite the searing pain where she was stabbed - somewhere near her shoulder, she guessed - stands firm before San. She stares the girl down like a true predator, then lunges, claws ready to rip into her skin. If this human was really so inclined to fight her, then she would fight back and send her body parts to the ones who thought was was all bark and no bite.]

[She's not as fast as a demon. Not by far. But she knows how dogs (well, wolves, but foxes are canine too) play, and she can get away from that swipe by moving forward. She wants to stab Ninetails' chest. In about the same place as where Moro's bullet rests now]

[Oh, no you don't. Ninetails may attack like a canine, but she's much smarter than one. Seeing the girl scuttle forward, the fox jumps up and away, landing heavily behind her. The spear only manages to brush her fur, but not the skin under.

A feral growl is all the warning San gets, once Ninetails lands, before she barrels forward, head bowed. She'll trample this little ant before she can get in another hit.]

[a warning growl gets her to turn in time to see the attack, but not avoid it. She's pretty decently trampled, though she tried to roll and duck out of the way.

But she stands again, attempting a charge of her own. It will end with a thrown spear, aiming for Ninetails' face]

[She can feel the girl crumple under her, and it gives her a bit of pleasure. Ninetails purposely rakes her claws over San's skin when she could, but she isn't anticipating that spear to be thrown at her as she reaches to grab her sword from her back to finish this quickly. Nor is she anticipating it to pierce her mask and burrow itself into her eye.

Thankfully, it was her bad eye - the one that had been gouged out already, but the wound was still soft and sore even today. The fox screamed in agony, shaking her head to dislodges the weapon from her eye, but the pain make her head throb, and the vision in her only good eye darken.]

[Now that. That was unexpected. San can work with it; broken and bloody as she is, she still reaches to draw her knife and rush at Ninetails again. It's clear the demon is distracted.]

[Ninetails claws at the spear, whining and trying to get the thing out, but she can't properly see it. Her ragged breathing slows when her ears perk and swivel to the sound of something coming. Coming at her. She huffs, trying to smell and hear the girl, and--

There.

Ninetails roars as loud as she could, rising onto her hind legs, one clawed paw lifted before she brings it back down and slams it into San, knocking her a good distance away.]
