Arashi Dictionary - Ohno (Potato July 2009)

Last month Arashi began creating ‘Arashi Dictionary’ to commemorate their 10th Anniversary. This time O-Chan will turn the pages of Arashi’s history. Queries regarding member’s popularity, ‘Arashi-like words’ were responded to with great laughter.
SA- Exhibited my creations (作品展 - Sakuhinten)
I have always thought, ‘I want to show my fans my creations, and thus, through ‘FREESTYLE’ it turned into reality. Drawing the paintings to decorate the venue was great fun!
SHI - Johnny’s Jimusho
(シ - SHI katakana; ジ - JI katakana.)
I never thought I would enter Johnny’s Jimusho (laugh). Arashi has reached such a point where we have many juniors today. Time has flown by quickly!
SU - SMAP
For the tour of their album ‘007’, I had the opportunity to participate as a backup dancer. However, once during the MC, I fell asleep in the greenroom and thus, did not appear on stage. This is one sad memory I have.

Our debut anniversary. We have strived to achieve our success. 3rd November is also celebrated as Culture Day in Japan. We take great advantage of this national holiday.(laugh)
CULTURE DAY
SO - Solo Track
I sang my first solo composition for the album ‘ONE’. At that time I felt it was a little late (the insertion of solos). I was also able to dance to my composition ‘RAIN’.
(T/N: Composition also refers to a music piece that has been created by someone, not just composing i.e creating the piece. Thus, it merely refers to the song, not him composing the song. Clarifying it here, since many have asked. I don't think Ohno has composed this piece, he hasn't mentioned it in the article)
TA - Typhoon Generation
Before the shooting of the PV began, Matsujun injured his foot. The shoot was delayed by 3 hours. Thus the shoot ended late at night.
CHI - Nipple T-shirts (Chikubi T-Shirts)
Quite some time ago, the five of us entered the elevator and returned to our greenroom in our nipple revealing T-shirts (laugh). In the end we felt embarrassed. (laugh)
TSU - Fishing (Tsuri)
I want to go fishing whenever I have free time. (laugh). I will never get tired of fishing. I want to stay on the boat forever! Getting sun-burnt is also fine! (laugh)
TE - D no Arashi
I did various things on this show, but the ‘Rewind shots’ I performed with Nino were the most interesting. I performed these gags with great enthusiasm, but you really have to use your head.
TO - Truth.
As arashi, it was the most adventurous composition. Even today, I feel glad when people around me tell me, “How many ever times I listen to it, I never get bored”. Because it is ‘Maou’s’ title track, I have an attachment towards it.
