We know I'm not a fan of Ebert, but there is something we normally have in common, and that is a love for animated film. Now I say normally because unlike ebert I seem to be the only one of the two of us who will think poorly of a film and not blindly wave my "gosh, it's genius" cane at whatever animated film that comes along. I say this because

I quite liked it, even though the story was a bit shallow. The high-qualityness of the animation and the Tom Waits sequence totally made it worth seeing, to me. Some of the characters I quite liked, especially the small, sadistic door guard. But yes, this didn't touch the Iron Giant at all.

tom waits is awesome, paul giamatti (the voice of the door gaurd) is awesome, this will not be argued.
