Day 2 of Three Day Weekend

Rain early, south of downtown Atlanta. I restocked while in my jeans and t-shirt, but had a severe case of I don't wanna, so I didn't go to the back to change until opening. We miss you too, very much. tempest_gypsy is an excellent addition, but I wish it were both/and. I'll email off line with a catch up on all.

The soldier was a nice young man, too. I hope his brain injury gets the right treatment.

Yeah, I read blog comments too, and saw the same short-sighted nonsense about being out of uniform. Numskulls.

Living seven miles from Fort Lewis (home of the Stryker Brigades, among many other soldiers), and McChord AFB, not to mention all the other military installations around Puget Sound, civilians here are very aware of who's where, and for how long.

I for one will be eternally grateful when they can all come home.

Yes! But so many people have to be told something every single day, or they forget. HG Wells-ish. When I started my job three years ago, my boss was surprised to find out there were still people overseas in Iraq.
