::waves:: Glad to hear that you're doing okay, despite the horrific bronchitis. (Best cough suppressant, per my doc: a scant swallow of your favorite liquor, the thicker, the better. It has made my numerous bouts of bronchitis bearable.)

Ah, that seems like very good advice. Fun too. ;) I did drink while I was in Vegas, but just wine. Probably not thick enough. I'll have to remember that if and when I'm hit with this again - though hopefully I won't be, and certainly not right before vacay!
Great to hear both TCG and especially The Boy are doing so well. Vegas is amazing, isn't it? I went there kind of accidentally the first time (base for Grand Canyon visit) and considering I don't gamble at all I couldn't believe how much I loved it. Now I end every States trip with a few days there for pure fun. Definitely definitely see a show! Most of the Cirque ones are great, but I also recommend the less well-known Le Reve at the Wynn - it's the kind of show where your mouth hangs permanently open because it's so spectacular. It features water and for my money is better than Cirque's O.

I don't gamble either, but I made myself play $10 in slots just so I could say I did

You haven't experienced Vegas until you've seen one of the topless dancer shows with your father! LOL
My Dad's company has their annual conference in Vegas every year, and one year my mom wanted some company and asked me to come, so I did, it was my first time there. I can't remember what show it was, but I think its one of the well-known and recommended shows. It was great, the precision dancing was great, its just a little awkward watching it with my Dad.
Oh, by the way, did I mention this was over 9/11, as in *the* 9/11? In case you're curious, the casinos never shut down. They closed all the shops and the shows all went dark, so the only thing to do was gamble...except I don't really gamble. So, I sat by the pool and read, until the airports were opened up again and then it took two days to get on a flight out.

OMG, how embarrassing! LOL! Actually, I completely forgot that I did get to see some of the free show the Rio does in one area of the lobby. Lots of pretty girls and guys dancing and gyrating around. It was the first night I was there, and my elevator was in the area of the show. I was just so out of it, having been up for about 24 hours at that point, that I could really only stand there for a while before I got too woozy. Hadn't even drank anything yet. ;)
Interesting that you were in Vegas on 9/11 - weird too. Yeah, I can totally believe the casinos never shut down - the casinos are everything in that town. If they shut down, the whole town would go dark.
I did $10 on the slots just to say I did. But gambling isn't really my thing either. ;)
She lives! I have the excuse of being out of the country for two weeks, missy :) Sadly, I'm still in somewhat recovery mode from that. I'm awaiting the speeding ticket the friend got while driving the rental car (which I will pass along to her to pay; she's agreed and I fully believe she should pay). I still have to take all the pictures & videos and acquired stuff over to my aunt's to show her; she's the last one to see my trip experience. I'm still focused on mostly the bad stuff, but I hope over the next few weeks I can get to focusing on what a marvelous, spectacular time I had

I can believe that! I tried to keep up with all your preparations for the trip, and kind of lost sight of everything after that, but I'm sure overall you had a great time - though what's this about bad stuff? And how the heck did you guys get a speeding ticket???? For shame! LOL!
Broadchurch starts tonight on BBCA, I believe, and I'm going to check it out. I'm afraid I couldn't get into Spies of Warsaw at all when it aired a month or so ago. Haven't heard about The Politician's Husband - but I don't follow Tennant, per se. I just check out things that sound interesting on BBCA

The speeding ticket stuff is here. I'm almost sure I wasn't the one driving, but I'm waiting to see if I actually get a ticket from the Gloucester police with the photo of the car. Debbi said she'd pay it, so I'm not all that worried about the cost, more that it doesn't somehow end up on my license.
I don't know that we'll get Politician's Husband in the states; I watched Broadchurch on dailymotion.com. It's nice to see The Tennant now and then, since he is an amazing actor.
No, more that Jared stepped up his game the last 3-4 episodes. I actually felt some emotion from him, which I haven't felt in...since...Gilmore Girls 2nd season? Yeah, it's been awhile. So that's twice he's made me actually somewhat care in 14 years :)
Storms are once again blowing through with tornado warnings everywhere. I know all storms have that potential, but we hear it every damn storm through mid-June. We become immune. I should get off the computer, though.
Hehe, having you on twitter i didn't even notice you were absent on LJ :) Good to have many places to talk.
Yeah, well, for the Jensen-fan crowd, we always have THAB, foremost, so I rarely thought of LJ as a place to talk to everyone about our continuing crushing disappointments anyway. ;)
I know what you mean :) I think i'm kind of glad you were absent at LJ cause i had no time to check LJ properly so now i can think i didn't miss anything important from you ;)
