I'm having to physically restrain myself not to hook up Netflix to a vein and mainline the entire thirteen episode second season in one overdosing chunk. I have watched the first three episodes so far and it's as gloriously addictive as the first season was. I could literally have it done by the end of the weekend, but I'll try and stretch it out a

LOL! OMG, you're even more addicted than I am! That's awesome. You're probably done by now. :D
I would be too, but like I said, I'm practically sitting on my hands to keep myself from going through it in one day. And The Spousal Unit is like an annoying angel on my shoulder, claiming I'll be sorry if I finish it too fast, like last time. And he's probably right, but dammit, I wanna I needa AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
And my Sunday is wide open. *waggle-waggle* ;)

I think you have to be into political thrillers and/or the dog-eat-dog machinations of the political cog in general, and if you're not, yeah, you're going to be bored. It's not a genre The Spousal Unit is interested in, so he doesn't get into it either. But I am, especially when it's done so well.
Plus, I loved the British series, and I'm thrilled the Amercian version is just as good - better for me, in fact, since I understand more about the American political system than the British.
Jen Lawrence was good in SLPB, I guess, no one was bad in their roles. It's just the whole thing didn't make sense from the jump. I found it incredibly boring - took me two sit-downs to finish it, that's how much it didn't keep my interest.

As for SLPB I didn't like Jen's partner (can't remember his name), his character wasn't relatable or interesting for me and ruined the whole thing.

I have been watching Almost Human and Justified among a few others on T.V as well. Read a pretty good book called The Bartender's Son by Ivan Doig. Takes place in the 50's and 60's in Montana. Have to see if I can find others by him. Right now I am reading Every Living Thing by James Herriot. Thought I had read all his but somehow missed this one.
Haven't been to a movie since Saving Mr. Banks, cause the weekends have been kinda busy.
Hope your veg out time was good for you. Just think March is on it's way.

With a lot that I normally watch being off for the Olympics, I breezed pretty quickly through Doctor Sleep that you gave me for Christmas (pretty good as a sequel to The Shining - and a little of King himself in that one with the whole AA angle), and now this John Irving book I'm reading, which is very different. Fans of serious gay lit would like this one. I think I'll read Haldeman's new one next, then figure out which books I want to take on my trip.
We've got a lot going on the next couple of weekends, and The Spousal Unit will be traveling most of next week. And I only have a couple weeks until I'm traveling again, so I don't think we're going to get out to see another movie after all. Looks like I'll have to wait until Monuments Men and Robocop hit HBO. Probably just as well.
