Happy Halloween!

I know I don't update but once or twice a month, but I usually check in and read my friends list every couple of days. But when I went to my friends list today I realized I hadn't even been doing that for most of the month. Where did the time go?!? Loved reading everything you've been up to ( Read more... )

I don't know why, it kind of bums me out, but I just can't get into DW this season. I turn it on faithfully every Saturday, but I usually end up reading during the hour, or checking in on the computer. I can't stay engaged, for whatever reason.

Me neither, which is a slight problem for me given that I have a Doctor Who review site:). I just have to keep slogging nevertheless, although to be honest given that I've been watching it all my life I would watch it anyway no matter how bad it got. I really adored Matt Smith as the Doctor and While Peter Capaldi is a great actor he's not captivating me as the Doctor.

Thanks for the heads-up about Longmire - the next season won't catch me by surprise this time:).

You're welcome! :)

MTE. It's the same with [Star Trek, I'd watch any series just because I've been there since the beginning. I've been a fan of DW for decades, so, yeah, that's why I keep tuning in even though the writing isn't grabbing me this season. I loved Matt Smith too, but I do like Capaldi's Doctor as well. The problem is they do less with Capaldi and more with Clara and the guest stars. I swear Capaldi is on screen less than most of the other characters in any given episode.

Honestly, I'm just waiting and hoping for a radical shift once Clara leaves.

Well, just posted and then I went to my friends page and there you were.
I like my black appliances as well, especially the gas stove top. It did take awhile for you to receive them though.
I'm with you, Tim Curry was the quintessential Dr. Frankinfurter. I even saw the stage play in London when I was there. He is still the best. Got to see a reunion show with him and a few others of the original cast a couple weeks ago.
Was feeling to punkie to do anything this Halloween. Just fixed me a bowl of soup and kept the lights out until there were no more Trick or Treaters. I think there may have been one, but I missed them. Like you say all the kids seem to have grown up or gone elsewhere
What channel is Ash verses the Evil Dead showing. Maybe I can catch it.

It's on the Starz network, which is a pay cable channel, so it's not something you're going to be able to see.

Hope you're feeling better! Looks like I may be coming up on Saturday with Rick for the Homecoming game.

Happy belated Halloween! I opted to hang out with sis this year, walking a whopping 45 minutes with two of the kids around their new neighborhood. Not really worth the 25 minute drive to her house, but at least it was something different. It drizzled the entire night, so it was a bummer. Today was seeing Benedict's Hamlet, which was SO LONG that I started dozing at the hour fifteen minute mark ( ... )

I have to finish up Fargo season 1

The second season is every bit as good, so when you can you need to watch that too. :)

You're heading back to Pasadena! Thanksgiving I will be spending with the Eighth Doctor and River Song. :) Then hopefully next April, I will be spending a Saturday with the Tenth Doctor, if I can get the VIP pass before they sell out.

Where are these DW events you're going to?

I'm looking forward to going to CA just to get out of this freaking record heatwave we're having. I know the LA area has been very hot this year too, but it looks like they're back to more seasonable temps - at least in the 70's. I'll take it!

This is going to be the oddest holiday season.

I think the holidays get stranger every year as everyone's situations change. We just play it by ear now. ;)

Paul McGann and Alex Kingston are at Chicago Tardis, Thanksgiving weekend. David Tennant will be HERE for Wizard World April 2, 2016. There's no way I'm not going when he's in my backyard. Only way to get to see him in person though, is to buy the VIP pass, but it gets the autograph, photo and assurance of the front rows of his Q&A. Totally worth it. And there's David Tennant's Richard II in Brooklyn next year also, but that may be off the table if I blow $400 on one VIP ticket :) I have repairs that need to be done to the house, so those must, sadly, come first-ish.

You can always visit me if you want to escape the heat! We're in the 50s at night and mid-to upper 70s day. April will be mild in the 70s as well *grin*
