So, it's a go. I talked to Dr. Koslow today, and we're set. Thanks to Erik, my ticket will be covered with airmiles that he is donating. I've not done this before, so there might be taxes and fees I have to pay- I'm not sure. For the other associated costs of the trip, I've created a Chipin page. Linky! It is prayers and well wishes. This trip of yours is the most impressive thing I have seen you do (and one of the most impressive things I have seen anybody do). Louie and I are trying to refinance our house on account of severe financial strain (hardly unique to us, right now -- and fortunately she and I have have jobs, although probably not the best jobs possible for us). Please keep us posted, but if you are too busy to get on line, this would make perfect sense.

I have no idea what sort of connectivity I will have, if any. I'm planning on bringing a couple of single use cameras (don't want to kill my digital) and a paper journal, which I will transcribe when I get back if I have no access.

I wish you good luck on your trip. Try and factor in at least a day or two decompress / fun time if you can. You may need it.
