Arthur spent most of his time these past few days at the farm, trying to work out his frustration though, well, work. Blair was driving him insane and he didn't know if he was more frustrated at what she was doing or that he was letting her do it to him.
Still, it was relatively effective and when he was home he was generally too tired to be upset and sick of brooding over it all so he didn't think on it much.
So when Anne found him, he was sitting in the living room reading a book. It was a travel book from Blair's time about Europe.

Anne approached Arthur cautiously. Something had been upsetting him these past few days and nobody would tell her what it was. She wasn't afraid of him lashing out at her like she would have been in any of her other foster homes; she just didn't want to bother him if he was in a bad mood.
But he seemed more tired than upset, and so Anne took a deep breath. "Arthur?"
When Arthur heard Anne call his name he smiled and looked up. She and Lucy were two of the people in the City that being with and talking to always put him in a good mood. Not just a better mood, but a good one.
"Lady Cordelia," he said, using his pet name for her as he stood up, befitting proper etiquette in the presence of a lady.

"My liege," she said, deciding that a special occasion merited special language. "I come before you to make a humble request."
