Sagramore has just been released by Mordred and made his way back to the multiverse on his way home. He pauses, however, when he sees Anna; he's known her since the first time he saw her, known her for who she will be, and the loneliest place inside him is certain it could be satisfied--

He tries not to think like that (he's older than she is, finally, and she doesn't know him, can't be expected, as young and beautiful and vicious as she is, to want even to dally with an aging, sick knight). All the same, he can't help watching her, her slender, wise hands, her dark eyes, the mouth that in her future and his past he'll give anything to kiss. These things are both new and familiar to him. He can't help looking.

"No, sir." Very meekly -- which she cannot know that he will know is a cover for her bitter amusement; that would be an excellent way to draw attention to herself, wouldn't it?
