Merry Christmas, or to those of you who don't celebrate it, happy holidays! Quinn and Sophia, I'm afraid your prezzies are going to be late as always...
I got your gift! Thank you soooooo much sweetie. The CD is great; I especially liked Iste Liebe (No 12), but I especially thank you for the book. I've always wanted to read this one; I've heard so much about it.
So it was on time after all, that's wonderful! I didn't think the mail would be so quick. The CD, well, it's kind of an experiment - I don't know how much fun it is to listen to it when you don't understand the lyrics. Some of them are quite clever. Compared to American Hip Hop, the German texts are often very intelligent. Of course, there are some exceptions to that rule...
As for the book: I love it, and I think it's a classic. If you like it, try "The Hotel New Hampshire" next. I like that one even more, but I think it's not as famous as "Garp".
I've heard of them both. You know, sometimes it's quite difficult to find the ones you want to read. Generally, there are the new-comers and the classics and few between. It's easier to find Dickens than an oldish book of Irving.
I'm sure I'll love it, since I've also loved What I Loved (Hee). It seems we have similar taste in books.

I know! It's driving me crazy! Also, I hate it that they only sell hardcover editions of the newcomer books and maybe, every once in a while, of special editions. I hate having to give paperbacks as a gift, but if it's the only thing you can get...
Also, have you browsed the yuletide archives yet? The Jason Bourne one you got was wonderful! I have also read some excellent Wimsey fics...
