Cool. I randomly wandered into their very first public performance at MIT 15 years ago, though it didn't have the geeky name then. I had no idea then that it would stick around, or that a gamelan stays together as a unit even though the people keep changing. It's funny to imagine a Western orchestra consisting of a fixed set of instruments assigned to the musicians.
