i know! it's even more so in real life, i'd seen photos of it from when my mum went to stay there in summer but walking into that room was still unbelievable!
Ello! While not-writing my essay on how the portraying of madness in literature changed during 1800-1870, I stumbled across your LJ and liked it. And your hair. Especially your hair, methinks. Do you mind if I add you?
P.S. Don't be put off by the fact that most of my recent public entries seem to be in Finnish. I do write lots in more understandable languages as well!
heheh yes feel free to add me, I will add you back now :). i strangely enjoy looking at finnish, so fear not :P what literature were you looking at madness in, may i ask?? !
As you may notice, I decided to drop all the Finnish from this journal and create another one to write in Finnish in, but you're all welcome to read that as well if it excites you. Hehe.
I wrote about Jane Eyre, Crime & Punishment, E.T.A. Hoffmann's Sandman, and a book called The H-Family (I think that's what it's called in English) by the Swedish writer Fredrika Bremer. I quite loved writing that essay, dunno if my teacher enjoyed reading it as much... Crossing my fingers.
