Summary of the Persian Wars

The Ionian Revolt

560 BC- Croesus became the Lydian king (Sardis was the capital). The kingdom of Media was then taken over by the Persians under Cyrus the Great.

546 BC- Croesus goes against Cyrus, encouraged by an Oracle. Cyrus conquered Croesus instead to capture other major places like Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar).
