Okay, so I'm FINALLY posting about our Montreal trip, which was really fun. Where do I start- I guess I'll start with the night before, and just do Day One, because my entry will be really, really long.
The Night Before: Hannah, Hannah and I were REALLY excited. We kept calling each other on the phone and stuff. We all packed.
Day One: At 8:30 AM Hannah, Hannah came to my house with their luggage and stuff. We packed the car, and took some pictures. We then started the five hour trip to Monreal. On the way there, we read, listened to "Annie's Mix", "For the Love of Paris, Don't Stop the Beat", "Motown Ones" (Hannah R. thought "Motown" was a band), "The Beach Boys: Sounds of Summer", etc. We helped Hannah B. create this really long list of every movie she has ever seen alphabetically, which was insane. We crossed the border with my mom only minorly freaking out (her mother lived in Nazi Germany, and went spastic at borders, so my mom picked up the habit), and managed to get lost in this insane farmland with no people called Sherbrook. We fonally got to the city of Montreal.
It was really exciting. Our hotel, the Sheraton, was really nice. It had these marbley elevators that were really cool, and all these computer screens in the walls and stuff. Plus, it was right in the middle of everything, so it was perfect. We got to our room, which was on the 28th level.
Okay, Hannah and Hannah will hate that picture, but I like it. You can see all the little cars down below and stuff. Anyway, that day we walked around and I took all these pictures of where we were and stuff. We first walked into this corridor that led to another street, and it was SO COOL. Here's a picture:
It's of this lake like fountain which spouted from the statue in the background. The water ran onto this big marble slab and poured over the sides. This is a picture of the passageway:
It was sort of a little mall. Actually, I have no idea what that place was, but it was cool. So we kept walking, and saw some other buildings:
A random picture I took of Hannah on the first day. I like it. Sorry about the sideways ones. I can't turn them!
The weird colorful one...
This cool looking old one. A lot more than that, but I don't want to completely clutter my photobucket account. This picture was taken at this square in the old part of Montreal, where we explored before dinner. It was really picturesque- There were all these little shops and there was even a fire eater. In the next picture, you can see on the right side the ladder that the fire eater stood on while he... ate fire (duh). It was crazy. Here are more of us making faces and stuff at the square:
Hannah and me pretending to sing.
Hannah and Hannah looking silly.
This is where we first began to notice that everone had shirts, wallets, sweatshirts with the word "Roots" on it. We assumed Roots was a clothing brand that was really popular, and we wanted to find out where it was. It was really cool because EVERYBODY had something that said "Roots". It was like a cult or something.
Anyway, then we went to this Chinese restaurant. We were SO HUNGRY and the food seemed to take hours to get there, but then it did, and it was really, really good. Hannah R. got crab but the crabs were basically whole, and she had a hard time cutting them up and stuff. This was the dissected crab:
But other than that, it was pretty perfect. We then went back to our hotel and slept after watching some movie with Jackie Chan.
