Update?
Exciting things have been happening for me. But first let me share with you a bit of surrealism I experienced in my dream last night.
I'm not sure what happened, where it came from, or why THIS particular person was in it, but a guy I knew in high school (and I suppose I still know, just haven't seen for a while), walked up to me. I think we were at some sort of county fair; it was sunny, dusty, crowded. This guy, I don't want to say his name, was a year younger than myself, and though we were in band together, we never really did seem to get along very well. I mean, we were cordial, but nowhere near chummy.
That's why it's so shocking that, when he strolled up to me in my dream, he whispered something, handed me a note, and fled. I don't recall what the note said word-for-word, but the jist of it was that he'd always had a crush on me but didn't know how to tell me. He thought I was fun and dorky in high school, but now he really didn't care what anybody thought and he loved me. I was like....WHA?!
So, flash forward to me walking through some sort of exhibit in a big warehouse. It's much darker. And this person appears, gives a pleading look, then kisses me! WTF? But the real what-the-fuckery is that I could almost feel his lips, and they felt just like I imagine that they would; thin, slightly damp...
It was weirdness. Anyway, moving on. *shakes out the shiveries*
I've been writing for villaintech.com for almost two months, but also, magically, I was asked to start contributing to RightCelebrity.com. It's trashy and amazing. But it could also lead me to a full-time writing position with their sister blog, Right Cinema, which would blow my socks off.
Add this to the fact that my boss at Villaintech got me two press passes for GenCon Indiana! If you don't know what GenCon is, it's the largest gaming convention EVER. It's 5300 events of pure mind-altering awesome. Dan's going as my cameraman, and I'm going to be uploading some videos every day of the Con to YouTube, and eventually Villaintech (and here.) It's going to be so fun, I'm extremely excited.
Apart from that, things are going well. Thanks for asking. Miss you. :)
