Gah, the MPAA, gah.

I remember feeling very pissed off about this whole issue back in the pre-Bush era, at around the time when the South Park movie came out... pity nothing's changed.

Some of the players have changed, but the game is still the same. The inconsistancies of the rating system have always confounded me, but since I'm an adult w/ no kids, living in a city where anthing that isn't a big studio blockbuster gets relegated to an art theater (if we're lucky,) it didn't have a big impact on my movie watching. What creeps me out beyond words is that the ratings board is a shadow movie government that dictates what movies we do/don't see now, but what movies will be made in the future.

Well... that explains why some movies are rated PG-13 when they should be rated G... Seems like an interesting watch, I'll have to keep that in mind.

It was really worth watching. Kevin Smith was one of the interviewees and he had some pretty insightful (and funny) comments. Let me know if you want me to netflix it for you.
