1.9 fucked up a lot more than it fixed. They've been working on the problem, but the fixes are coming in pieces. That, plus a huge increase in population on a lot of servers, which causes more lag than usual. *sigh*

WoW acknowledged the lag and basically said "yeah, holidays brought a lot of new people here, and we don't have the hardware to support it." Woo.

the noobcakes should all be gone soon, after thier free time is up, a lot of people will stop playing and theoretically that *should* clear up the lag a little bit- which is what I think Blizz is thinking.

But yeah, stupid 1.9 messed up A LOT of people's ability to play.

while im somewhat enjoying the world event, i agree. 1.9 made problems. 1.9.1 caused more then it fixed, and 1.9.2 still didnt fix them all.
As far as the server load... yeah. the bad load hit its peak with the servers having wait queues over 500 people. that is getting better now though.
