Anne is counting down the hours

Hello, friends. Well, I finally broke down and did it. I made a count down for the hours I have left here at work. 109 is the current count. This makes it seem worse than it is - but Erin put it aptly when she said she didn't really mind work, she'd just rather be home. This is very true. I don't love my work, it isn't meaningful, I don't see ( Read more... )

i love it! The first thing I do when packing for school, or moving in is DECORATE! and then I kinda just leave everything in a box. I am currently collaging binders...silly us!

Oh, and I have just discovered composition notebooks. They are very cheap and easy to recycle, so you can have one for each class, and they are LIGHT and almost impossible to break. Big ones just don't work for me...I still don't know which method of NOTETAKING is right for me...which is probably a worse problem.

I second the Composition Book motion. They're quite durable; the only downside is that I haven't seen one that has perforated pages. That's a problem for Other than that, though, they're splendid!

My 2¢:
One college-ruled one-subject 10.5"X8" spiral 3-hole-punched notebook for each class, each one a different color (for quick identification when late for class). But no, I'm not OCD at all.

Ok, because I'm not OCD either, I did almost exactly that last semester, but I had two problems. First, the covers were flimsy and tended to deteriorate fast. Second, there was no pocket to put my papers in.

Well, I solve that problem by having a folder for each class as well, that matches the notebook's color. It's best if the folder is the plastic kind that last forever, and have brad clips and 3-hole punched.

That's not a bad idea. Maybe I'll look into that this semester. I tried putting my notebook in a plastic folder with my papers, and that protected the cover pretty well. But it was a little inconvenient.

In the words of Mitch Hedberg, this subject is pro-voc-a-tive!
