Wow! A real update! By moving, do you mean leaving California? Going to another educational institution? If so, that's a real bummer, and I'm sorry to hear it. However, yay for Alex coming to join you, wherever you end up.
As for this trip up the coast, Daniel and I are planning the same thing! It will be abut a week, starting July 5th. We're going to Jedediah Smith redwoods park, Ashland, and the lost coast. We did a little preview of that trip last summer, and they are all worth looking at. Elks!

Ditto to that last bit- it'd be great to have a couple of pints with you and Alex! Plus, if you two needed a place to stay, there'll probably be a spot in my house.
