So, I survived my first weekend alone. Go me. I pretty much did a whole lot of nothing, which was fine for a while, but by Sunday I was kinda bored. I watched the first disc of Season 5 of Dawson's Creek, and got upset all over again at how they changed the music for all the episodes. You'd think I'd be over it by now, but no.

Oh, you're not the only one. I'm convinced I'll never be over it. :( In fact, my summer project: Convert all my DC tapes onto dvd to keep forever and never have to buy the silly changed versions.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's still bitter about the music changes. That's the reason I'll be hanging on to my tapes forever. Converting them to DVD is a good idea though. The thing that upset me the most was the episode with Mitch's funeral. Where the opening credits were all quiet with the gray sky/water background? I thought they would at least respect that, but nope! They changed it to the annoying Run Like Mad. Which is another issue altogether. I'm not the biggest fan of I Don't Wanna Wait as a song, but you can't just go changing the theme song of a show just because it's cheaper! Yeah, I'm never gonna get over it either...

Oh, I know! The fact that they couldn't even respect that drives me batshat crazy! It's like them trying to rewrite history, which I just can not stand. There is so much from every moment in that show where I associate with its music and changing that changes everything. It's no longer the show I grew up with and I just despise them for that. But changing the theme is just absolutely the most ridiculous thing ever. I'm not the biggest fan of the song, but it defined the show. I always LOVED the beginning of the theme hangin over to the end of the teaser and jumping into the credits? Completely replacing that just makes it...not Dawson's Creek anymore.

That's exactly how I feel. I hate that they ruined my show like that. Because it's not the same show anymore.
