Cotton-candy Bubblicious. Lets just say you shouldn't be missing that for too much longer... Do you like Ring-Pops? I want to send you a novelty candy, like that or the candy necklaces or something. I mean, they are a lollipop without a stick - a ring of flavor you can lick. Whats not to like?
And do they have those fuzzy sodas you put the ball down in to that they sell at AWA? Having those and Pocky readily available would keep me happy for a long, long time. I'm glad Fanta has started making peach soda. Its hard to find and not as good or fun as the Japanese glass ball ones, but its a step in the right direction.
Hi Anna Banana! Sounds like you are having a great time in Japan. Do you really clean your room that much or is that just something you say to keep your mother happy? Everything here is volley ball. Fenwich High is in tournament time. We beat our biggest rival, Hamilton Badin on Tuesday. We play the number one team on Saturday. Probably won't win. [Badin was number 2] Which means the end of the season for them. Grade school season ends next week. Mo is coaching two of those teams. I can't wait to get some normacy back in this house. What ever that is. Love Aunt Mary Ann
And as for those sodas -- those are called "ramune," right? I haven't seen any that I can remember, but I'm sure they're around. And I have CERTAINLY eaten me some pocky. MMMMM.
i would like to provide some clarificationmystiriNovember 9 2006, 18:32:24 UTC
Point #1: Japan most definitely has those "fuzzy sodas," which I like to call marble soda, because that is where I first discovered them. I am aghast that you have not yet encountered any. And they are a zillion times more delicious in Japan than they are here. I'm not sure why, because you'd think that folks were just importing the same thing, but the bottles are different there, too, so who knows
