I think the guys were a bit shocked at the passion that exploded and it is only the first date after all - and they are parents! Probably a bit too soon to move to the next level, but give them a bit of time...

Damn - so close & yet so far! I was hoping Jack would invite Ennis home as I thought he lived alone, buTI guess it is better not to rush things. I just started reading this story a couple of weeks ago and really am enjoying it. thank you & look forward to the next chapter. Gail

yes I think the guys were wise not to rush things as they really aren't carefree teenagers any longer. Jack lives alone half of the week, but he's still a (responsible) parent 24/7 :)

Damn police car :D I was starting to get all HOT in here and then we all had to come back down to earth, Ennis, Jack and ME (grrrr)

Thanks Linda. I know that the timing was bad, but I think they needed to cool it down before they did something they would regret - and would get them into big trouble if they got caught!

Oh the passion takes over sometimes and well reality sinks in and we have to pull back the reins but then we are off to the races again later and with even more bravado and sportsmanship. I love how Friday is just around the corner. Joe

wow! that was a dash of cold water! i know things aren't going to be easy - dating with kids is always complex - but i hope they can figure things out. going without is no way to live either! i'm looking forward to friday. :)

I think dating as a parent must be one of the hardest things as you can't forget where your priorities lie. Introducing a partner into your life when you have kids is pretty major. A member of my family has 3 kids by different fathers, didn't marry any of them and she still goes through men like they are going out of fashion! I feel for her kids...
