I've got funding. I'll be teaching beginning Italian; 2 sections in the fall, 1 in the spring. For this, I get about $13,800 before tax. I also get health care for a very small fee

Congrats on the funding, and on upcoming travels. I would love to connect sometime while we're both in Italy this summer. Good luck with apartments, housemates, time zones, etc. I'm sure that all of it will work out.
You have funding! Everything else will work itself out. You know academia, you know the Valley, you know Italy, and you know Alberto. Even though you're stressed about being on the move, most of what is going on is not new this time. Take a deep breath. Bathe in some sunlight, and know that it will all be okay.
And if the funding isn't enough to balance out the stress, remember that I'll BE IN ITALY TOO!!!! I can't wait to seeeeee youuuuuu.
