Snow laughing matter...anonanon1February 23 2005, 12:53:55 UTC
I agree. Snow is overrated, esp if you have to work and rely on public transport. It's becomes a nightmare, really. And why anyone whould CHOOSE to spend a holiday in the snow (ie skiing) is beyond me. Take me to where the sun shines and the sand is soft....
There was definitely thick, sledgeable snow in Dorset when I was primary school age. The school was even closed once. And as recently as...1997, I think? I was able to make snow wolves in the brambly bit at the bottom of the garden.
AGREED, bring on the sunshine!ablyssticFebruary 23 2005, 13:21:31 UTC
Out of all the times I have seen snow in the past few months, today was the first time that it started to snow this winter and I had the feeling of, aw man, snow, really? The novelty of snow no longer exists this season for this Florida native.
Living somewhere that rains A Lot, I sympathise with you. Rain's so damn boring. Still sunny california will be precisely that soon. Don't suppose you know what NYC's like at the end of March/start of April?
