Enjoy yourself! I made the same decision in the New Year, and had an unprecedented burst of creativity. However once I got cracking, I saw plenty of LJ as well; it was the decision to put the writing first that made the difference. Put LJ first, and it will happily eat your life. Coming second, it's a great pastime.
