Due to work being unusually stressful over the last few weeks, I have been avoiding Livejournal, knowing all too well its time-consuming properties. It's been an eventful few weeks both politically (Blair: this defeat over the terrorism bill is the beginning of the end) and personally. Anyway, 2 highlights of the last few weeks

Just got your request to join enormousfrauds. It's a community I set up for me and several of my friends, all of whom are postgraduate students who have just started teaching for the first time, and wanted somewhere where we could discuss teaching methods and swap ideas and that. It's very small, and we're trying to keep it that way so that we can discuss things without running into too many problems with keeping confidentiality and stuff.
Do you still want to join? If you're a postgrad who's teaching, I'd be happy to let you in, but I don't know whether you are, and we don't have any friends in common that I could ask. Could you email me (or answer this comment, but email is probably safer because comments aren't getting emailed properly at the moment) to introduce yourself and let me know if you're a postgrad and what you're studying and where and what your teaching burden is. thanks!
