holy shit. i'm really speechless and blown away right now to write a decent comment but damn, this is an absolutely fantastic piece. you really dug deep with that character exploration--perfect complement to the dark, gritty mood you established right off the bat (superb opening btw), and i just love the /terror you invoke in your writing, as if there's just something monstrous and dangerous just right around the corner but you're willingly going down that road anyway

I know this is late, but this fic is one of my all-time favorites. the lethargy and kind of sad perversion through the entire story gives it the most perfect atmosphere. you're such an inspiring writer.
