Doing something that one doesn't want to do is ridiculous. Even if it's what you're supposed to do, it's not what you want and therefore you're spending the one resource that you can't replenish on something you're uninterested in spending it on.
In the end, it's all about the return you get from what you do while you're living. If you enjoy something, do it until it's no longer fun, then do something else. Repeat until dead.
If I'd taken this advice a long time ago, I'd be a much more complete human being. As it is, I'm a shell with almost a PhD and a tendency to dispense advice. Woohoo.
