In the book Curly Girl, by Lorraine Massey (i think), there is a comment about political affiliation and curliness, to the effect that conservatives don't show off curly hair. Anyhow, it's a nifty book, and worth a glance if you get near a copy.
My hair grows quickly and, because I've got a lot of it, it gets very heavy when it is long. So, I let it get longish and then I chop it all off and then I let it get longish again. I've had it very very long before, but that was too much work. I'll probably continue with my cycle, letting it grow long for a couple years and then hacking it all off again.
I hear that speed of hair growth relates to exercise and to nutritional intake. Therefore, it is unlikely my hair grows quickly (plus, it is thin). But, it sounds like a plan that seems to be working well for you.
Unless you're saying that hair grows slower with better exercize and nutrition, then I would dispute that claim, since I exercize a lot, eat fairly well, and my hair grows glacially slowly.
Hmm. The theory would be that, to obtain the maximal growth *for a given person*, that person should eat well and exercise, so maybe your hair would be even slower to grow otherwise. Or maybe not. Anyhow, you do bring up a good point that there must be other factors, and that this isn't sufficient information from which to guess about my hair's growth speed. I guess more to my point, I have really very little idea how quickly my hair grows.
