I am computerless until further notice.  Thanks to "Spyware Protect 2009", my sweet almost 6-yr.old laptop is sitting at UBMicro waiting to be fixed.  Luckily I made them tell me everything, otherwise they were going to wipe it and not tell me.  I'm one step ahead of the 12 year old that processed me and overcharged me: I had my external hard drive ( Read more... )

...I had to deal with that bitch of a virus over the weekend!!! I spent 2 hours fixing the damn computer!!! I think I was browsing UBLearns or something and it popped up. I ended up having to cancel the process in the task bar, sign on to AOL to get online access and do research on how to get rid of the popup fucker.

I figured out how to make it go away, but have yet to reclaim IE.

I figured out how to make it go away but it turned out to be a temporary fix. As the machine got slower and slower and Word started crashing, I realized I had lost. I'm just mad at UBMicro for not telling me what they were going to do; they only told me after I asked them. Bastards.

It's from Scrubs! In the episode where Turk gets diabetes, he mentions that he hates his doctor because he always has to take his pants off no matter what the ailment. They use that line during one of the cutaway bits and since UBMicro basically says "it looks like a broken flash drive, better reformat the hard drive", I thought it fit.
