Can anyone tell me why it is that the puppies go nuts to get to finish the oatmeal out of my bowl in the morning?

It's just oatmeal (admittedly with wheat getm and oat bran added, but I didn't think those would be selling points for dogs) - what's the attraction?

I'm ok. Been better. Life's a little rough these days. Insane husband, hard times. But I'm getting by.
