Ugh, you guys, the Leslie-bashing is already starting in Parks and Rec fandom, and I feel so weary. She hasn't even broken up with Ben (yet? I'm unspoiled, keep me that way!), but I feel like if she does in season 4, the fandom is going to be a nightmare hellscape of misogyny, and it's upsetting to me. Ooooh, that is true! I'm going to be flying in on Sept 22 and out on the 27th, so it's not for super long, but it would be awesome to maybe work out getting together somehow! I feel like I haven't seen you guys in forever. Haha, probably because I haven't, I guess. It would be awesome to remedy that!

Oh, crap. We're going to be in Austin for a wedding on just exactly those dates, WHY GOD WHY. We really haven't seen each other in about a squillion, like maybe Slag Heap, or...not Writercon, surely? Anyway, YES to remedying. Maybe we just need to pull the trigger and make a plan...

RIGHT? I naively thought Leslie Knope could escape it, being the protagonist and superhero, but misogyny's superpowers are also impressive, I guess. I am cackling just a little bit on the inside because it always makes me feel better (MORE SECURE) when younger, formerly idyllic fandoms hit that bend in the road where everything suddenly becomes fraught with controversy and bitterness. (Though obviously girl-bashing over a pairing is the most annoying way for this to happen.) Um, I guess I don't like to see other people happy with their toys, especially if I am not. And personally I prefer Leslie/Ron.

Ugh, Rob Lowe is so annoying ON THE SHOW, I can't imagine having to act with him. Dude, you hopped off the boat when you left The West Wing because ~it wasn't enough about you~ so suck it up.

HEE, well, I understand that, I'm always so annoyed at any fandom that I'm in that I really enjoy it when other people are annoyed at theirs. We're all in this together! Haha, such a BOFQ, ridic. And Leslie/Ron is the BEST -- haha and it's totally the Liz/Jack of P&R so I'm not surprised. :P

Right?? Rob Lowe is the worsttttttt. Remember when he submitted himself for Lead Actor for TWW and then did it again with Parks? Lololol what a dbag. I'm hoping he quits the show because it's not about him soon. (Haha, in the gag reel his phone rings during a scene, and he hams it up about it and then totally NAMEDROPS and Adam Scott looks so unimpressed, it's amazing.)

I'm still so mad I didn't make it to Seattle before you went overseas! I'm only going to be there for like a long weekend, though, basically -- Sept 22-27, a Thurs-Tues. It should be fun!

OH MAN, I hadn't even thought about him compared to Dave, BUT THAT IS PRETTY TRUE. Not that Ben's mean to her, but Dave adoredddddd her. Ughhhh remember when she wouldn't move to San Diego with him and Dave kissed her hand and told her to keep the tickets in case she wants to come visit.

(I hope Dave comes back in season 4, Louie CK was SO FUNNY and adorable in that role, I can't even deal.)
