Okay, so. LJ had been offering me to check out a paid account trial, as it has to everyone who owns a LiveJournal account, and since I've liked the paid account for months but will probably never ever spend money on it, so I'm going go on the trial. It ends one day after the proposed date of the beginning of my exams. I'm not sure if I'll be able to even write 4 entries in this duration because I've impending exams. The practicals of which start next Monday. Yeah, so. Screwed up, I know. And the heat is so killing.
There's the Europa League final tonight; Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao. Bilbao have been in spectacular form this season, but I'm gonna skip the match. I'm looking forward to the Champions League final though; Bayern Munich and Chelsea. All in for Bayern. Barcelona didn't qualify, sniff. It was so unbelievable.
I just somehow don't feel the tension rolling off me as of yet, as it usually does before exams. God, I hate exams. I really do. But I'm nearly there to finishing them all. Need to really get all of my bearings together and jump the gear to fourth, instead of the usual rolling two.
My sister's birthday was on May 6th. She's worried about getting older, and I've a strong feeling I'll be like that as well when I get a bit older, but for now, I'm not going to worry about the age thing. I don't have to, and I shouldn't.
Its been ages since I wrote in my diary or posted here for that matter. I'm getting increasingly irregular with posting. Ugh. Hopefully this will get things in order. This paid account trial thing.
Gifted my sister The Hunger Games for her birthday and she loves it. I finished reading it yesterday. Really couldn't stop once I picked it up. Amazing. We discussed it and we're definitely going to buy the rest of the series but only after our exams end. No holiday the next month anyways. Have the summer internship; why they call it an internship, heaven knows. Because we've to do a course based training and its not like we're getting to see how the industry works, though Sayari tells me that the place where we signed up is pretty good at giving an idea. So I'm in good hands...or so I hope.
There are a few more websites that practice e-commerce like Flipkart, and I checked them out today. One in particular, www.homeshop18.com has some of the lowest prices I've seen, lower than Flipkart even. I was checking out the prices on flipkart for Catching Fire, and it costs Rs.221 there, quite a discount when you consider the marked price to be Rs. 295. And on homeshop, its Rs. 168. 168!!! Man....how do they even profit?? Yeah, I know, bulk ordering and they make very good profit, but sometimes it doesn't seem like it.
Same price for Mockingjay as well. Definitely going to go for it after my exams if I don't find another website with lower prices.
And my LA Corda mangas are available there as well!! For Rs. 308. And we spent Rs. 389 for the volume that we bought. 389. God.
Oh well, you learn in time. That's the thing, time. Everything takes time. Sigh.
In celebration of the paid account trial, I changed my theme to one of those available for those with paid account. Sundown Kyoto, or something Kyoto, I think. I just luuurve the pagoda shaped masthead of the temple. And the sunset. So artfully conceived the idea. Mmm mmm....
So I'd better get going and sit down to study. Watched bit of BD Part 1 and the penultimate episode of Season 3. Next one due Friday morning at 7 or so, which means by 10 I'll be able to get a good torrent. Yay! \m/
