Aww, I loved it! The acting was fantastic across the board - I had no idea that Bradley Cooper had that kind of performance in him - and I loved all the characters. I think the writing was super tight, and though I've seen some people complain about its treatment of mental illness, that's something that I actually respect more the more I think about it. I've seen a couple people say that the movie treated his bipolar disorder like a fun rom-com quirk, but I didn't see it that way at all! I appreciate that the movie didn't shy away from showing the really serious aspects of his illness, and it showed that he really started getting better after he started taking his meds again. But at the same time I think it made a point about not stigmatizing people with mental illnesses because most people are probably somewhere on some kind of psychological spectrum, like his father's OCD tendencies or Julia Stiles's control issues, etc.
