sam you were right on the first time
dreaming takes place solely in rem (random eye movement) sleep, which is the deepest form of sleep
what has confused psycholgists for years is the fact that rem sleep has so much brain activity, yet this is obviously due to dreams
if you connect electrodes to the brain you will measure the amount of activity and get a chart that shows the activity of the brain in different modes of sleep
the deepest sleep would appear to be stage 5 or delta wave
but the deepest sleep is actually rem because not only are you "unconscious" but you are actually in a mode of "subconsciousness" where you are actually replaying events in your mind that may have happened in a day who knows
but that is the newest outlook on dreams and sleep as of 2004 there was recently a study done here at auburn in the psychology department that concurred with the data collected from 9 other universities in a joint research on this
i know this because my psyc professor is awesome and was on the crew anywho

Nice to know I can inspire some people out there to do some things like research and whatnot. I read your journal and I end up looking up Josh Groban lyrics if that means anything.
Does this make me a Dream Muse?
If it does, then that makes you a Josh Groban Muse.

Just mundane stuff too, it's happened at LEAST once a week for the past month now.
Makes you wonder if you're daydreaming a few days ahead of time instead of behind it.
