I finished my lab report for optics (I always forget about these until the day they are due, not that I could be bothered to do one sooner anyway), and I haven't even started on my quantum homework... but at least I looked at it, right?

They let you take complex analysis before real analysis?

Uhh yeah... complex analysis is WAY easier than real.

Was it more of a "do stuff with complex numbers!" class, rather than a "and now we're going to MELT YOUR BRAIN with analysis!" class?

Um, no, it was an "Elementary Complex Analysis" class, i.e. Cauchy-Riemann krapp and the like. And it's still easier than real (unless you're taking some bullshit real that's really calculus) because half the time everything is just zero anyway. I mean, yeah, it's black magic, but it's not nearly as icky as real. =P
