Proposal 3 failing is good, my dear tree hugger. You can't honestly tell me you wanted to shoot mourning doves, can you?

In other news, Holy F'n Democrats! I worked 22 straight hours on election day, and LOVED IT! Oh my gosh do I remember now why I love politics. Less love: teaching it. More love: Doing it!

Hoorah for civic duty!!

Of course I wanted proposal 3 to pass!

Contention 1: Morning doves are overpopulated, often diseased, nearly pointless shitting birds. They do that cool ooo-ee-ooo-ooo-ooo call at sunrise and play a part in the ecosystem, but besides that, morning doves are... a nuisance, at best.

Contention 2: The addition of another hunting season in Michigan means millions of dollars in tourism, conservation funding, hunting license fees, and support for scientific education, studies, and research into a new animal. Michigan's DNR does an amazing job of regulating all the game animals under its judisdiction; hunting doves would HELP them.

The end.
