Don’t be like shocked or anything, but I squeezed out some writing time and came up with another chapter of Marking Time. I know! What’s up with that?! Three chapters posted in barely over a month? You’d think we were actually getting somewhere. Heh.

And just guesstimating? I’d say it will take about 4 more chapters or so to wrap things up. Not

More Marking Time! It's such a wonderful weekend present!

I'm so thankful you had Spike and Angel get together for some post-Shanshu discussion and to for Angel to totally misinterpret Buffy's reaction. And of course, Angel, in his own mind, must be right about everything.

I love how this continues Spike's habit of making the wittiest bon mots to no one in particular. And of course, how he heads up those stairs - the opposite action Buffy took in Season 7, but with the same intent.

Shhh…don’t tell anyone, but I have such fun writing Spike and Angel convos. Maybe even a wee bit more than the Spuffy. ::gasp:: Eee! No, no, no. I take it back! Spuffy first, then Spike and Angel. ::shifty look::

I spent half a day rereading this, and I'm so glad the end is in sight. Not because I want it to end, but because I'm just really curious about how it ends, and just how many of Spike's and Buffy's misconceptions will get cleared up. I'm hoping they'll get many of them out of the way in the very next chapter. =)

Ok, so I'm a very bad friend and hadn't been reading this all along, but I read it all last night and then came here today to comment with the requisite whimpers about you tearing my heart out. Because you did. Poor Buffy.

And then I find this chapter, and yay! for more... but I really really want her to tell him... I don't know how Spike will react, but Buffy will whither inside if she holds this in...

*wibbles*

At least Spike isn't letting Angel completely doubt-fire him up again. Because we know where that leads.
